An original official illustrated binder with promotional material, including original photographs, was made for a Yugoslav-Czechoslovak science fiction movie Visitors from Galaxy in 1981. It was directed by Dušan Vukotić, one of the most famous 20th century Yugoslavian directors, who, in 1962, won the first Academy Award for this cartoon Surogat – the first awarded non-American cartoon.
An educational and documentary book on fires, caused by children, was published in Yugoslavia in Slovenian language, and superbly illustrated by Marija Vogelnik, a student of the architect Jože Plečnik.
An extremely rare collection of poems for Yugoslavina partisans was written during WWII by a Slovenian author Tone Seliškar, known for his socialist realist poetry, and was printed by an underground press in Ribnica, Slovenia.
The first Slovenian translation of the first-hand account report on the WWII Pankrác Prison in Prague, by a Czech journalist Julius Fučík, was published in 1947. The original manuscript was written on pieces of cigarette paper and smuggled out from the prison.
