Description
This is an attractive book for medical students, containing 12 chromolithographed plates showcasing human anatomy, internal organs, the nerve system and parts of the head. The images are labelled with technical terms in Ottoman.
The book, influenced by contemporary Western works, was printed by Agop Boyacıyan, a prominent Ottoman publisher of Armenian origin, who was schooled in the United States before establishing a thriving business dealing in illustrated books, many with elements imported from France and Germany.
