8°, 16 pp., stapled (some words underlined with old pink pencil); 1 colour lithographed model, 13 x 17 cm (5.1 x 6.7 inches) (small rust stained from the staple); 1 colour lithographed model composed of 6 stapled pieces, printed from both sides 13 x 17 cm (5.1 x 6.7 inches) (staple slightly rusty), brown paper with printed title folded into a wrapper size 8° (small tears in folds, light water-staining, otherwise in a good condition).
Two paper models of human brain, one of them composed of six separate pieces, trying to represent the brain layers, were issued separately for helping students of anatomy to understand the text in medical books better.
The author, Ludwig Fick (1813 – 1858), was a professor of anatomy, a director of the Institute of Anatomy and a dean of the Medical Faculty of Marburg.
This is the 6th enlarged and corrected addition, accompanied with a pamphlet.
