A rare ephemeral bookseller’s catalogue from Lahore, Pakistan, was made in 1959 by Muhammad Ashraf, a publisher and importer and exporter of mostly Islamic books. The chapters are divided into the categories: Qur’an and Religion, Biography and Memoirs, Philosophy, History, Politics, Pakistan, Iqbal, Miscellaneous. The last page lists Urdu books in Urdu.
Attached are 2 pages of order forms. The catalogue offers a valuable insight in the Pakistani book trade of the mid 20th century.
We could not find any institutional examples. Brown Library holds a catalogue from 1947.
