Description
An attractive Ottoman 1920s richly illustrated driving manual was written by Fikri Tevfik, who owed a driving school and car store in Istanbul. The text describes parts of the car, traffic rules, various tires and how to react in case of an accident.
The first and last pages are filled with charming advertisements for cars and car parts, promoting contemporary foreign brands such as Dodge, Fiat and Chevrolet.
We could find three institutional examples on Worldcat (Boğaziçi University Library, University of California Los Angeles, Bayerische Staatsbibliothek)
