Description
This is the first Uzbek translation of Stalin’s nine speeches on Lenin, known under the title Foundations of Leninism, held at Sverdlov Communist University in 1924 and published first in Russian language as a newspaper article in Pravda newspaper.
The book was printed in Perso-Arabic lettering, or more precisely Yaña imlâ Arabic, a Tatar variation with adjusted letters and vocal sounds in use only for a brief Period under the Soviet Union, between 1920 and circa 1927. Yaña imlâ approached the older Ottoman way of writting to the local Tatar sounds and made it easier to read. In 1928, the script was replaced by the Latin and Cyrillic alphabet. This book still uses the old alphabet in the following year.
The book was issued as a 5th book in a series, as the second book on Lenin.
