Description
An original WWI photo shows an amicable social meeting between German and Soviet soldiers in winter of 1917 in Daugavpils (today Latvia), in the period pursuant to the ratification of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. The treaty was signed in March 1918 between the new government of Soviet Russia and the Central Powers: Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire.
The paste-on title is written in German and Ottoman, that were both fighting on the side of the Central Powers.
