A stellar example of a beautifully designed, richly illustrated book on the German Navy on the eve of WWI. The informative systematic chapters present the marine, its structure, ranks, boat designs etc. A large folding plate, attached at the end compares the German boats with the British ones. The author, Victor Laverrenz, was a publisher and writer, specialised in militarie, especially in the navy.
