Description

This rare large poster map was made by an Office of Tourist Development of Djabouti. The map shows different types of roads with scenic parts, distances between cities and settlements, hotels, restaurants, places with cold drinks, post offices, mountains, wadis, beaches etc.

This map was published shortly after the independence of Republic of Djibouti in 1977, although the infrastructure of the country was weak and transportation was limited. The map also shows the Ethio-Djibouti Railway, although the rail was not in function since WWII. 

We could not trace any other examples in institutions worldwide.
