The first book is a translation of Elementary naval tactics, written by a US captain William Bainbridge-Hoff (1846-1903) and published in 1894. The plates showcase various ship maneuvers.

The second title is dedicated to the defense of the coasts, with military architecture. The six folding plates showcase the distribution of strategic rooms in a coastal fortification around the cannons, position of fortifications on islands, canals and bays, bastion-shaped fortifications and the positions of the cannons with their moving and rotating technology.

We could find two institutional examples of the second title (Universiteitsbibliotheek Leiden, Atatürk Library).
