Description
The first Slovenian translation of Gone with the Wind was translated in 1939 and 1940, on the eve of WWII in Yugoslavia. The movie Gone with the Wind, with its première in 1939, became instantly an immense success also in Slovenia. The second transdlation was made in 1955.
Our examples come with rare original wrappers.
The book design was made by an architect Ivo Spinčič (1903—1985), who studied in Vienna. After the war he founded the first Association of Designers of Applied Arts. Spinčič also drafted interiors for several museums, hotels and night clubs, worked as a stage designer, urban planner, book cover designer and authored several articles and books on architecture.
