Description
This unique documentary view, painted in oil on wood, shows the suburbs of Hamburg, with woodcutters in the front and images from a daily life at the back: strollers, carriages and marching soldiers in red uniforms.
The author Carl Timotheus Friedrich Kreutzfeld (sometimes written Kreutzfeldt) was recorded as a fayence painter in Lübeck and later in Hamburg as a landscape painter.
The stamp verso reads Hamburgensien-Meyer, what was a name of an antiquarian print dealer from Hamburg.
