Ahmet Mithat (1844 –1912) was an Ottoman author, editor and writer, active mostly during the Tanzimat period. Mithat was a socialist writer, whose style was more conservative than the one of the contemporary modern writers. He was also known as a teacher of the first female novelist in Turkey and in the Islamic world, Fatma Aliye.
Ahmet Mithat published about 250 known texts with various motifs.
