A first Slovenian adaption of John Habberton‘s (1842–1921) chlidren’s book Helen’s Babies about brothers Bob and Tedi (Budge and Toddie) was issued in 1920 in Ljubljana, at the time the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The popular American novel was first published in 1876 and was adapted for a silent movie in 1924.
The illustrations were made by a painter and illustrator Anton Koželj (1874 – 1954), who was known for his illustrations from WWI.
The book was republished under the same title in 1994.
