Description

A rare book includes songs in Slovenian language, accompanied with musical scores, written by a composer Luka Dolinar.

Dolinar was specialised in religious music, which became very popular in the 19th century. Some of his songs are still sung today. The book was issued in attractive crude lithography, made by a publisher Janez Giontini, based in Ljubljana.

Very rare. We could only find one example in institutions worldwide (Seminary Library, Ljubljana).
