Description

A detailed Ottoman work on Haji Bektash Veli (1209 – 1271), a Muslim saint and mystic, revered among the Alevi and Bektashi Muslims. In the late Ottoman empire the followers of Haji Bektash were often suppressed and the Bektashi order was banned in Turkey in 1925.

The example is bound in a decorative red cloth binding with Ottoman insignia.
