A biography of an ottoman aşık (ashik, a traditional musician and troubadour) İbrahim Dertli (1772-1845), followed by his poems.

The book was written by Ahmet Talat Onay (1885- 1956), a Turkish writer, researcher of literature and politician, who at the time worked for the Directorate of National Education at Bolu.
