Description
This is the fourth and possibly the last edition of a popular Polish pictorial map, showcasing the history of the country.
This edition was made on the eve of World War II, with the last event on the map, marked with 88 and represented in the lower left corner, showcasing the entrance of the Polish troops to Trans-Olza, today a part of the Czech Republic, on October 1st, 1938. This region, situated between Poland and Czechoslovakia, was at the time a subject of dispute between the two countries.
Less than a year later Poland was invaded by the Nazi Germany, that annexed Trans-Olza to their territory.
