Description

The author Ihsan Abidin Akinci was an Ottoman horse and agriculture expert. He finished the Military Veterinary School (Askerî Baytar Mektebi) in 1904.  Ihsan Abidin was the author of over 15 books on agriculture, most famous work being Osmanli Atlari (Ottoman Horses), which was republished in 2017 in modern Turkish language. Between 1927 and 1931 he served as an Undersecretary of the Minister of Agriculture. Ihsan Abidin’s work contributed in improvement of the stables and horse breeding in the first years of the Turkish Republic.
