Description

A book on the Ukrainian language and the language, used by the Roma in Ukraine, was published in English language by the Academy in Saint-Petersburg. The map showcases the south-west part of the Soviet Union with marked various dialects.

The author, who published a shorter version of the book in Russian language a year before, did not only try to present various words and grammatical forms, but also texts, composed by the Roma and Ukrainians to present their lifestyles and diversity of their lives.

Special introductions and explanations, which were not present in the Russian version, were written for the international audience.
