Description
The official Ottoman Salname, or a yearbook / almanac was first published in 1263 AH (1846 AD) and was followed by 68 issues until 1918. It included calendar, important dates, hundreds of names of dignitaries, employed by the government with state organisations of the Ottoman Empire (mülkiye, ılmiye, seyfiye, kalemiye), dates of the markets, exchange rate etc. Our edition, being no. 23, also contains names of short lived Society-i İlmiye-i Osmaniye (Ottoman Academic Society).
We could trace two examples on Worldcat (University of Chicago Library, Universitätsbibliothek der LMU München)
