this second edition of the bok in two volumes was published one year after the first edition and on the eve of WWII. the Serbian author Stevan J. Jakovljević spent the war in Italian and German prison camps. After the war he became rector of the University of Belgrade between 1945 and 1950. Jakovljević was also author of books on botany.
