Description

This first edition of a popular Slovenian short novel Kurent was published in highly decorative wrappers in Ljubljana in 1909.

Ivan Cankar (1876-1918) was a Slovenian modernist writer, essayist, poet, playwright, and political activist. Today Cankar is considered one of the greatest Slovenian authors.

We could only trace one example outside the Slovenian institutions (the British Library).
