Gustav Strniša (1887-1970) was a prolific self-taught Slovenian author and poet, whose work is still highly popular today. He is especially known for his stories and poems for children. After the war, in 1949, Strniša served two years in prison with an allegation of helping political emigrants.

This two books were published by the author himself in a form of a carbon copy of a typescript during the World War II. They contain motifs, mostly connected with the joy of nature. The first book includes a still highly popular poem, recited mostly among children, “Jaz imam” popularly known as “Goslice” (Fiddles).

Printed edition of “Dih prirode” were published after the war, in 1945.
We could not find any examples outside Slovenian institutions.
