Description

Humorous short stories for youth about Mr. Trebušnik‘s (Mr. Bellyman) travels through Slovenia and neighbouring countries (Trieste, Austria) was published in Slovenian language in Austria by a Catholic press in 1963. The stories were originally published separately before the war in Catholic yearbooks.

According to the introduction of the book, this first separately published collection of the texts was issued abroad to preserve these popular stories, as the old Catholic yearbooks were perishing in Yugoslavia.

The author Janko Mlakar was a Catholic priest and a keen amateur mountaineer.
