Description
An early printed book on history of Styria, today a part of Austria and Slovenia, was written in 1815 by Josef Wartinger.
Josef Wartinger (1773 – 1861) was the founder and first director of the State Archive of Styria in Graz. In 1811, he was appointed by Archduke John of Austria, to collect all the historical documents on Styria. The book is a result of first researches.
This is an uncommon first edition. The book was later republished in revised editions and also as facsimile.
