Description

This is an edition of an extremely rare political-satirical magazine, published in Turkic language in different scripts in Tashkent in Uzbekistan.

The magazine ridicules the contemporary political situation and the pope, with the title page showing him supported by the rich, Fascists, and Muslims.

The magazine was published from 1923 on under different spelling of the same word Muştum, Myştum and Muštum, meaning The Fist. This is the April edition, published in 1930.

We could not trace any examples of the magazine in institurtions worldwide. Two German libraries (University Library of Tübingen and the State Library of Berlin) possess some separate editions from 1980s and 1990s.
