Description
A contemporary report, describing the first Battle of Höchstädt an der Donau in Bavaria, which was fought on September 20, 1703, between the French-Bavarian army under Marshal Villars and the Austrians under General Hermann Otto of Limburg Styrum as a part of the War of the Spanish Succession (1701–1714), resulting with the French-Bavarian victory.
The second battle, fought at the same location in the following year, became known as Battle of Blenheim.
