Description

The atlas, which served as a political propaganda of the Fascist Italy, focuses almost entirely on the history of the Apennine Peninsula, its historical importance and its connection with the coastal areas and parts of Yugoslavia, taken over during the World War II. Another emphasized motif are the historical boundaries of the Greater Germany through the century.

The atlas was printed by the Instituto Geografico De Agostini in Novara, the cartographic institute, responsible for a wide repertoire of maps and atlases, commissioned by the Fascist government.

We could not find any institutional examples outside Slovenia.
